Coulee Lake Onalaska Day Big Success

Coulee had its first KAMO-only event off Brice Prairie’s Schaefer’s Boat Landing on Saturday, June 2nd. 22 kids and 14 adults participated. Three kamokids joined just before the outing. The Boy Scout Troop from Saint Patrick’s Church in Onalaska helped mentors with fish cleaning, cooking, and teaching kids how to cast.
 Mark Walters attended the event with hid daughter, Selina, and her friend Enily. North American Squirrel provided a pontoon. Schaefer’s Boats and Baits provided bait and event space. Thanks to Carol Witt Smith, Tim Collins, Kraig Hoff, Tim Collins, Jim March, Anthony Larson, Orey Eckes.

Kids Fishing Days – La Crosse area

Saturday, May 12th – Kids Fishing Day at the Genoa Fish Hatchery. Open to the public for kids 6-12 accompanied by an adult. Registration starts at 8:45. Free. You can bring your own equipment or borrow it. Bait and luch provided for free. Rainbow Trout. Highway 35 South – Genoa.
Saturday, June 2nd – Kids Fishing Day on Lake Onalaska. Open to the public. No age limit. Bring your own tackle or borrow it. Bait and lunch is provided. You might want to bring a life jacket if you have one.  Definitley bring some water. Starts at 7:45 AM. Runs until 1:00 PM. There will be three pontoons and several fishing boats. There will some canoes in the water for you to try as well.
